The emphasis of the college is on teaching the student to attain a high level of skill in the practice of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Encouragement and practical advice are given on establishing a successful clinic.
The aim of the College is for the graduate to have high ethical standards where the welfare of the client is of prime importance. The College, before accepting any student on the course must be satisfied that he / she will agree to abide by a code of ethics which is the same as the code of ethics of the TCMCI (Traditional Chinese Medicine Council of Ireland).
Aims and objectives:
Teach herbs to a high standard to enable the practitioner to practice in a safe and effective manner within a private setting. We will be covering traditional herbs, formulae, how to prescribe, alter a prescriptions components, dosage levels and to understand the different methods of preparation.
Throughout the course a practical element of preparing and supplying the herb prescription will be preformed. This is a strong course objective to ensure that the graduate at the end of the course will be happy and confident in there own dispensary.
It will be expected that the student will participate in diagnosis and treatment of a sufficient number of supervised cases to ensure that the correct standard has been reached prior to sitting the diploma.
